Gold vs. silver: which should you buy first?

Gold tends to be less volatile and more tightly correlated with currency debasement and geopolitical risk, making it a common 'core' holding.

Silver has meaningful industrial demand alongside its monetary role, which can make it more volatile — but also gives it a lower entry price per gram, useful if you're starting small.

Many investors hold both: gold as a long-term store of value, and silver as a higher-beta complement.
